This apple tree can be found throughout our region. The Yagodnaya apple tree, also known as the Siberian apple tree, averages 5 meters tall. It's native to Siberia. It's a slow-growing tree, so don't expect to see fruit quickly. However, fruiting and flowering occur regularly, every year, and abundantly. Because it doesn't grow very quickly, it's popular as an ornamental tree or garden decoration. It can sometimes be seen as a pollinator for other varieties planted specifically for their fruit, which results in greater frost resistance.

The tree itself is round in shape, with ovate or elliptical leaves. The tree really stands out in autumn, when the foliage turns an attractive, vibrant yellow, sometimes with hints of orange. During the flowering period, pink buds turn into very beautiful white flowers with a very strong and pleasant scent. In summer, the tree attracts attention with its beautiful, regularly shaped crown and rich green color.

Characteristic

This variety is unique in that it produces the popular paradise apples, sometimes called "ranetki," as the description suggests. The small, spherical fruits are small in size—up to one centimeter—and have a beautiful, vibrant red color. Another advantage is that the apples hang on the tree for a very long time, right up until the tree sheds its leaves. Unlike other apple varieties, these apples are rich in vitamin C. Paradise apples are known for their low maintenance. This is why a large number of hybrids of this variety, which retain its original characteristics, have appeared on the market today.
