Main characteristics

The main characteristic of this variety is its vigorous and rapid growth. It begins bearing fruit in its third to fourth year.

White filling has the following characteristics:

  • high growth rate;
  • the fruits ripen already in mid-July;
  • good winter hardiness of the tree;
  • high resistance of apple trees to various diseases;
  • early fruiting;
  • apples have a short shelf life. The fruits can be stored for no more than one month;
  • Because of their softness, apples do not transport well. This characteristic must be taken into account when growing apples for sale;
  • The fruits are used to make jam, preserves and compotes.

The fruits ripen already in mid-July.

Every year, starting at age three, this apple tree begins to bear large fruits. With proper care, a single tree can yield up to 100–150 kg of fruit almost every year. After several years of proper care, the yield can increase to 200 kg of apples.

The fruits of the White filling variety have the following chemical composition:

  • 9% – sugars (their sum);
  • 10% – pectin substances;
  • 21.8 mg/100 g – ascorbic acid.

The harvest can be collected twice each year: in July and early August. However, fruiting alternates over the years (even if the tree has been properly cared for).

Planting and care

To ensure excellent fruiting, choose a well-lit, moisture-free spot in the garden for planting the sapling. Planting and caring for the young tree must be done according to all the rules.

Planting of seedlings is carried out as follows:

  • A couple of weeks before planting, dig a hole. It should be twice the size of the root system;
  • fertile soil and fertilizers are placed on its bottom;
  • the young tree is placed in the middle of the hole so that its growth point is 5–10 cm above ground level;
  • the roots are carefully filled in and the soil on top is compacted;
  • After this, the planted seedling is watered thoroughly. Several full buckets of water should be poured under the tree. Then it is tied to a stake.

White filling can be harvested twice a year.

Saplings should be planted in the spring. If done correctly, the young tree will root within a few weeks.

Caring for a planted seedling involves the following steps:

  • regular watering, after which the soil around the tree trunk is loosened;
  • Fertilizing. Mineral fertilizers are used in the summer. Organic fertilizers are applied to the tree in the fall;
  • insulating the plant for the winter;
  • preventive spraying of trees;
  • pruning dried branches.

Now it's clear how to plant a White Naliv apple tree and care for it throughout the season. All the steps outlined in the care plan should be performed annually. Only then will the planted tree bear fruit well within the variety's typical timeframe.

Harvesting and storage

Harvesting begins in mid-summer (July). It's worth noting that if you delay harvesting, you risk losing the entire crop. This is because the fruits are soft and begin to spoil upon impact with the ground.

Because the flesh of this variety is very soft, these fruits can be stored for no more than a few weeks. It's best to process the apples immediately.

Pros and cons

White filling has received numerous positive reviews. These reviews highlight the following growing advantages:

  • early fruiting;
  • good cold resistance;
  • high yield;
  • versatility;
  • excellent taste of fruits.

White filling is used to make preserves, jellies and compotes.

However, one should not forget about the following disadvantages of this variety:

  • poor shelf life and transportability of apples;
  • the harvest ripens almost simultaneously;
