Skor Fungicide – Protecting Plant Health: Instructions for Use and Composition

Garden plants are attacked by a variety of fungi, causing considerable problems. When taking the fight to the pests, it's best to use an effective solution, such as "Skor." The instructions for using the fungicide "Skor" are quite straightforward. We'll cover them in detail in this article.

Description and composition of the drug

Skor is a contact fungicide that effectively combats several types of fungal diseases that often affect garden plants in high-humidity conditions. This product penetrates the plants, affecting the fungal organisms that infect them.

"Skor" is a contact fungicide

The product is based on the pesticide difenoconazole, which has a primary effect on fungal spores.

The fungicide is available in two main forms: ampoules (1 ml) and bottles (1 l).

This video will show you how to properly use the fungicide "Skor".

Mechanism of action

When treated with the drug, the following occurs:

  1. The product penetrates into plants.
  2. After a few hours, the fungicide spreads throughout the entire “organism” of the flower.
  3. Once inside the plant, the product effectively combats fungal organisms, stopping the infection affecting the flowers. "Skor" also destroys most spores, preventing them from spreading to other flowers.
  4. When seeds are treated, the substance penetrates through the seed coat and, when the seed germinates, it spreads throughout the entire plant system.
  5. The product is effective in all weather conditions. However, its effectiveness increases significantly at temperatures between 14 and 25°C.
  6. It is also more effective if applied at the very onset of the disease, when the fungus has not yet taken over most of the flower. The optimal time is 1–3 days of the disease.
  7. The protective effect lasts for 10 days.

What problems does fungicide help with?

This product is effective against various fungal diseases affecting various crops. Let's take a closer look at this issue:

  1. It reliably protects fruit trees from diseases such as scab, gray mold, leaf curl, brown and holey spots, coccomycosis and moniliosis.
  2. Protects berries from powdery mildew, gray mold and brown spot.
  3. Skor will reliably protect vegetable crops from powdery mildew, leaf curl, brown spot, cercospora leaf spot, and root rot.
  4. The substance will protect grain crops from root rot and seed mold.
  5. The grapes will be reliably protected from powdery mildew, gray rot, escoria and rubella.

Instructions for use of the fungicide "Skor"

Every farmer should know how and in what dosage to use this product to ensure it's effective without harming the plants. First, remember a few simple rules:

  1. Since several treatments are carried out (to eliminate the danger completely), it is necessary to monitor the deadlines and not miss them.
  2. Be careful to maintain the correct proportions. Don't add too little or too much.
  3. “Skor” is not prepared in advance – only immediately before the procedure.
  4. Do not dilute the product in cold or hot water. Room temperature water is fine.
  5. For preventative purposes, plants are treated before flowering, and the next time – after it (after 20 days).
  6. If you are treating a diseased plant, the treatment is carried out about 4 times with an interval of 7-10 days.
  7. Spray the plants for the last time 3 weeks before harvest.
