Preparing the ingredients
Not only the fruit but also the leaves, from which vitamin-rich teas are made, provide health benefits. The harm from the berry itself and dishes containing it is minimal – it is best avoided only by people with high stomach acidity.
When harvesting the berries, avoid squeezing them too hard. Then, clean the harvest of any debris and rinse with gentle running water. Before cooking, the berries must be dried. This delicacy will need to be cooked briefly to preserve the large amount of vitamin C. The berries are sour, so no matter what the recipe, a lot of sugar will be needed.

Step-by-step recipes
Whatever recipe for exquisite cranberry jam a housewife chooses, she should know that the berries pair well with apples, oranges, tangerines, nectarines, and lemons, and that it can be prepared in a bowl or saucepan, as well as using household appliances.
Five-Minute
For the preparation called “Five Minutes”, you need 1.5 kg of sugar, 1 kg of berries and 0.5 liters of water, based on 2.5 liters of the finished product.
Rinse the berries, add them to a saucepan or bowl of water, and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat for up to 5 minutes. Once cooled, pour the broth into the saucepan, bring to a boil, and add sugar to create a syrup.
The berries are poured with syrup. After two hours, the bowl is placed on the stove, the contents are stirred and the foam is skimmed off. After boiling, the mixture is simmered for 5 minutes. The hot mixture is poured into sterile jars and sealed.
With apples
Here's a simple recipe for another cranberry dessert: the ingredients you'll need are 1 kg of berries, the same amount of apples (preferably Antonovka), 3 kg of linden or any flower honey, and 200 g of walnut kernels.
Wash the berries, cover with water, bring to a boil, and simmer for no more than 10 minutes. Drain the water, and strain the berries through a fine sieve. Wash the apples, core them, and peel them. Cut each apple into cubes or slices of approximately the same size.
Honey is heated in a bowl, and berry puree, apples, and nuts are added. This delicacy, with its pleasant apple flavor and aroma, is cooked for 1 hour over low heat, stirring frequently.
With oranges
To make a citrus treat, you need to take 1.5 kg of berries and oranges and 3 kg of granulated sugar.
The berries are washed in a colander and dried. Each orange is also washed and dried, and the ingredients are blended. After adding the sugar, the mixture is stirred and simmered for 5 minutes, then poured into jars and sealed.
Without cooking
Those who don't want to heat-treat the fruit will appreciate this winter preparation, which preserves maximum vitamins. It requires only 1 kg of berries and sugar.
The berries are washed and dried, placed in a bowl or saucepan, covered with sugar, and crushed. While the juice is releasing, there's time to boil the lids and jars. The raw berries are placed in the containers, leaving a 2 cm headspace, sprinkled with sugar, and sealed with lids. Before serving, the sugar crust is mixed with the berries.
Puréed in a meat grinder
There are many ways to make cranberry treats using a meat grinder. One recipe calls for washing and drying 1 kg of cranberries, then grinding them using a grinder. Add 1 kg of sugar and let them sit for 1 hour. Then simmer for 10 minutes, skimming off any foam, and pour into jars, which can then be refrigerated after cooling.
There is a more complex recipe: 0.5 kg of large oranges and 2 kg of berries are passed through a meat grinder, 2 lemons and 2 limes, chopped into 2 kg of flower honey, are added, then the cranberry-orange mixture is added, mixed and the preparation is poured into jars.
In a multicooker
If you have a slow cooker, the cooking process is extremely simple. To make this treat, you'll need 1 kg of berries, 1.5 kg of granulated sugar, and 0.5 kg of oranges.
The ingredients are washed, the berries are chopped, and the cored fruit is sliced. Sugar is added to the finished puree. After half an hour, the mixture is placed in the appliance bowl and set to "Stewing." The dessert is simmered for up to 30 minutes, after which it is packaged in sterile jars.
